[Nains] Avant-poste de Karak Izor

Le temps passe vite et la dernière mise à jour date déjà de mi juin. J'ai utilisé ce temps pour peindre une armée de nains qui dormait dans un carton. Seule l'enclume avait été peinte il y quelques temps déjà.

J'ai démarré par les deux gros régiments de marteliers et de longues barbes. Vu que je voulais un résultat uniforme, ben forcement je me suis lassé et j'ai dû faire une pause d'une semaine. Pendant ce laps temps j'ai encore commandé quelques tueurs pour compléter les effectifs de mon unité de fous furieux. Du coup j'ai mis les bouchées double la dernière semaine pour terminer le tout avant aujourd'hui.

Je vais pas mentir, aligner le tout pour la photo finale a été très satisfaisant.

L'armée est constituée, à 1 modèle près, de figurines en métal. Après avoir longtemps hésité avec le bleu et le rouge, j'ai choisi la couleur verte comme dominante pour refléter l'environnement forestier dans lequel est censé évoluer l'armée. Je trouvais le rouge connoté et j'avais trop utilisé le bleu chez les hauts elfes. Ce qui ne m'a pas empêché de poser ces couleurs sur quelques points d'accroche.

Pour la suite j'ai quelques projets de plus petite envergue mais beaucoup plus récents. Et je vais réfléchir un peu pour décider si oui ou non je me relance dans la peinture d'une armée. Pour rappel il m'en reste deux pour warhammer battle. Et c'est la bonne saison pour attaquer l'une d'entre elles.

Time flies and the last update was already in mid-June. I used this time to paint an army of dwarves that were sleeping in a cardboard box. Only the Anvil of Doom had been painted some time ago.

I started with the two big units of hammerers and longbeards. Since I wanted a cohesive result, the result was I got tired of it and had to take a week long break. During this time I ordered a few more slayers to complete this unit. So I worked twice as hard the last week to finish the whole thing before today.

I'm not going to lie, lining it all up for the final photo was very satisfying.

The army is made of metal figurines, except for one model. After hesitating for a long time with blue and red, I chose green as the dominant color to reflect the forest environment in which the army is supposed to evolve. I found red connoted and I had used too much blue for my high elves. That didn't stop me from using those colours on a few significant points.

For the future I have some smaller but much more recent projects. And I'm going to think a little bit about whether or not I'm going to start painting another army again. As a reminder I have two left for warhammer battle. The season fit particularly well to one of those.
